Extra-curricular activities

For those who are coming to Bled a few days before the conference or staying a few days after the conference, we suggest the following activities:

Walking

You can go for a walk around the Lake Bled. Round trip around the lake is around 6 km long so you can walk it in about 1 hour. Walk is easy without ascents and you will see lake from all directions.

A few kilometers from Bled there is a beautiful gorge Vintgar. It is about 2 kilometers long. Through the gorge runs river Radovna. Through the most attractive part of the gorge path goes on galleries. At the end of the gorge is nice waterfall and some refreshment room. More

Bicycling

You can rent bicycles at several agencies in Bled. Bled is very convenient for cycling - be it for, less demanding tourists or determined cycling enthusiasts. Local roads between villages around Bled are suitable for short cycling trips and a dense network of forest roads on Jelovica, Pokljuka and Mezakla can satisfy even the most demanding mountain cyclist. Hiking

Well-arranged trails will lead you to majestic hills above the Lake Bled, that are offering beautiful views at the Lake and its surroundings. More

You can also take a hike to the mountains as the immediate and distant vicinity of Bled offers plenty of mountains to choose from. More

Golf

Bled has the largest golf course in Slovenia. The course is renowned as one of the most beautiful in Europe. The golf course is situated 2 km east of Bled on a plateau, 60 m above the Sava river canyon. The land has a slight roll and is covered with forests. The extremly pleasant climate permits a golf season from spring to late autumn. More

Mini golf

Miniature golf represents a splendid challenge and entertainment. The mini golf playground is located behind the hotel Park (3 min walk from Conference site). With its 18 playing fields in a total lenght of 228 m, this is ane of the largest classic mini golf playgrounds in Europe. After a game, you can freshen up in the pleasant shadow of the restaurant garden. More

Swimming and bathing

Refresh yourself in the cool blue waters of Lake Bled during the summer. Grajska beach ("Castle Bathing Area") is the only designated outdoor bathing area by lake Bled. Situated just below the magnificent castle rock, it enjoys a sunny and picturesque location.

Hotel Golf's Ziva Wellness features the largest swimming pool complex in Bled. The wide range of massages, baths, saunas, body and facial treatments will help you relax and enhance your appearance, while the view from the pools over the Bled panorama will give you positive energy. More

Adventure Park
